Division within one month of the end of the quarter. Please either justify this change or revise
the permit text to conform to the currently approved plan. Also, please include the timing of the
submittal of the discharge monitoring reports in the permit text discussion.
6. In Appendix M, the Sedcad hydrology designs use 2.4 inches for the 100 year-24 hour
precipitation event. However, it appears from the NOAA Atlas 2, Volume III that the value
should be 2.6 inches. Please explain the use of 2.4 inches or provide revised hydrology designs
for those structures using the 100 year-24 hour precipitation event.
7. Please provide the Subwatershed Hydrology Detail design sheets and the Structure Summary
design sheets for the 100 year-24 hour precipitation event Sedcad run for the operational
configuration and the 10 year and 100 year precipitation event Sedcad runs for the reclaimed
configuration.
8. Please provide a discussion in the permit text that describes the method for reclaiming the
current sediment pond, including what will be done with the pond cleanings.
9. It appears that page 35 of Appendix M should actually be numbered page 31. If this is correct,
please revise Appendix M accordingly.
10. In the Structure Summary on page 30 and 35 of Appendix M, there are several structures with
asterisks. The footnote on page 35 explains that these structures have incomplete design
parameters. Please explain.
11. It appears that several revisions need to be made to Table 3.1-1:
A. The side slopes for ditch R11 should be 1.5 instead of 2.0. Please revise accordingly.
B. The ditch depth for ditch D-1113-1 should be 1.03 feet instead of 1.3 feet. Please revise
accordingly.
C. The values for the right side slope and the left side slope need to be switched for ditches
R17, R18 and R20. Please revise this table.
D. The side slopes for ditch R22-b should be 6.0 instead of 2.0. Please revise accordingly.
E. The flow values for ditches R22-a, R22-b and R22-c should be 11.4 cfs, 38.3 cfs and 39.3 cfs
respectively instead of the listed values of 17.5 cfs, 42.1 cfs and 43.1 cfs respectively. Please
revise these values.
12. In Table 4.2ii, please include baseline monitoring results for stations SW-2, SW-5 and, possibly
SW-4, since they are part of the approved surface water monitoring plan. Also, baseline
monitoring results are listed for Upper East Salt Creek and Lower East Salt Creek. Please identify
in the table the site names as they are designated on Figure 4.2-2.
2
