•
114 Class III Inventory, Colowyo's Collom Mine Project
MF6083 -2
0 1 2 3 C
r
•
Figure 6.57 Projectile Point 2 (Specimen MF6083 -2), Actual Size, Site 5MF6083.
fragment was made on a semitranslucent chert secondary flake and measures 2.0P x 1.7P x 0.3 cm.
One end exhibits reworking to form a useable edge.
The debitage assemblage consists of 39 flakes. Tertiary flakes dominate the assemblage with
28 specimens. The remainder consists of six pieces of shatter and five secondary flakes. Various
opaque chests are the most common material type with 31 flakes (22 tertiary flakes, six pieces of
shatter, and three secondary flakes). The remainder of the assemblage consists of five white opaque
chert tertiary flakes, two quartzite secondary flakes, and one semitranslucent chert tertiary flake.
The site was not tested because the sediment context consisted of a shallow discontinuous veneer
of residual sandy clay with gravel and bedrock detritus overlying bedrock.
47599
TRC Mariah Associates Inc.
