The remainder consists of three quartzite tertiary flakes and two opaque chert <br />tertiary flakes. <br />Testine Results Two shovel tests were excavated at the site with negative results. The sediment <br />matrix noted in Shovel Tests 1 and 2 consisted of sandy silt to a depth of 22 cm and 33 cm below <br />ground surface, respectively. Decomposing sandstone was encountered below the upper layer in <br />both test excavations. <br />NRHP Eligibility Recommendation and Project Effect Site SMF6081 is recommended as not <br />eligible for listing on the NRHP when evaluated under Criterion D. The site consists of a diffuse <br />artifact scatter that contains no dateable cultural features or temporally diagnostic artifacts and is <br />comprised of a limited density and diversity of artifacts.
