A safety meeting will also be held on the morning of each new drilling period at
the lower administration building.
(4)
Dry conditions at the site require common sense usage of cigarettes, fire, electrical, and
welding equipment. Combustible materials should be cleared from heated sources such as
truck, compressor, pump exhausts, etc.
(5)
During wet road conditions and when reasonable, only 4X4 trucks should be operated.
Trucks should be equipped with a shovel and a set of chains.
(6)
Special care should be exercised when assisting stuck vehicles. When retrieving stuck
vehicles, a wide berth should be given when towing chains, nylon straps and harnesses are
•
used.
(7)
Watch speed while driving, especially on blind corners. Roads become very dusty and loose
with travel and vehicles can lose control on turns if traveling too fast. When wet they are very
slick.
(8)
Back into parking spots when it is reasonable to do so.
(9)
Adopt Colowyo's safety culture. Practice "Take Five" throughout the workday.
EMERGENCIES & FIRST AID
(10) For emergency purposes, cell phone communication must be established and maintained
within the Collom Area.
