The dirt entrance roads at <br />the partially reclaimed highway coal stockpile area and the well field were a little wet but were passable. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />The reclamation work at the West Mine continues to show stability. The reclaimed slopes did not show <br />any signs of slope instability. The vegetative cover was moderate and no erosional gullying was observed. <br />Most of the structures had been removed from the unit train loadout site. No problems were observed with the <br />remaining structures. <br />REVEGETATION - Rule 4.1511 f ]Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />The outslope of the unit train loadout bench had a good vegetative cover. There was a moderate vegetative <br />cover on the cut slopes at the partially reclaimed temporary highway coal stockpile site. There also was a moderate <br />vegetative cover on the backfilled and graded slopes of the West Mine. <br />SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12: <br />There were no slides or indications of cracking or slumping in the backfilled and graded slopes at the West <br />Mine. The cut slopes were stable at the partially reclaimed temporary coal stockpile area. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />As mentioned previously, most of the structures at the unit train loadout had been removed and bond <br />money released. There were no problems with the remaining structures. The entrance gate at the East Mine was <br />closed and locked. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS - Rule 4.02: <br />The mine identification signs were up at each entrance to the unit train loadout. Mine id signs were also up <br />at the entrances to the partially reclaimed temporary highway coal stockpile area and the well field site. <br />Surface disturbance signs were up around the disturbed areas. Two subsidence warning signs were up along <br />Steven's Gulch Road in the vicinity of the well field. <br />TOPSOIL - Rule 4.061--1 LRemoval 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; <br />Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />There was a good vegetative cover on the topsoil stockpile that is located on the west side of the unit train <br />loadout site. No erosional problems on the stockpile were observed.
