acre each and were too small to delineate for the Order 2 soil survey. A survey was not
• conducted to determine the volume of soil contained in these stockpiles at this time.
However, these stockpiles are suitable for salvage and use in future reclamation.
Map Unit RL: Reclaimed Land
Reclaimed Land (6.7 acre, 4.4% of total) transects the study area near its southern border. It
will not be disturbed because it contains an existing buried pipeline. The map unit was not
sampled for laboratory analysis, and does not have soil available for salvage and use in future
reclamation.
3.4 SUITABLE SOIL VOLUME AVAILABLE FOR SALVAGE
The weight-average depth of 8 inches topsoil and 8 inches subsoil exists across the 152acre
RD&D Lease COC-69166. Less the Reclaimed Land acreage (6.68 acres), 145 acres are
available for disturbance in the study area. If the entire 145 acres were proposed for
disturbance, there would be an approximate total of 155,000 cubic yards of suitable topsoil,
and 155,000 cubic yards of suitable subsoil available for use in reclamation to a depth of 16
inches below ground surface.
i

12
