• <br />Class III Inventory, C Is Collom Mine Project <br />351 <br />deposits that would augment the understanding of the domestic activities and socioeconomics <br />connected with the homestead. <br />The site currently lies within the mine permit boundary, and it is near the proposed area of <br />disturbance and may be affected by the undertaking. However, the site is recommended as not <br />eligible for the NRHP, and there will be no effect from the proposed project. Cultural resource <br />clearance is recommended, with no further work. <br />6.2.27 Site 5MF3996 <br />Site Tyne Open camp <br />Legal Locatio Section 1, T3N R94W <br />Landowner Private <br />Site Dimensio 75 x 22 m <br />Site Descripti Site 5MF3996 occurs within the north - central portion ofthe Colowyo project area <br />and was originally recorded in 1995 by MAC for the Colowyo Coal Company 1995 lease and <br />exploration project. The site was originally described as an open camp located along a stretch of <br />cutbank on the West Fork of Jubb Creek at 7,280 ft (2,219 m). Sediments at the site consisted of <br />alluvial dark brown silty loam. Vegetation included sagebrush, serviceberry, rabbitbrush, and <br />grasses. Total vegetation coverage at the site was estimated at 50 to 75 %. <br />Three areas of burned bone and charcoal were discovered eroding out of the cutbanks on the east and <br />west sides of the creek where the West Fork of Jubb Creek flows through a narrow section of the <br />valley. Area A consisted of a charred medium -sized mammal rib fragment and charcoal eroding out <br />at 130 cm below surface. Area B consisted of a 60 -em wide area of charcoal and unburned wood <br />eroding out at a depth of 50 to 60 cm below surface. Area C consisted of a large -sized mammal <br />vertebral fragment at 40 cm below surface and a medium -sized mammal long bone fragment at <br />47599 TRC Mariah Associates Inc. <br />
