Introduction
The existing geologic and hydrologic conditions were integrated into a conceptual
hydrogeological model and a numerical computer model, as described in Section 6, to
evaluate hydrological conditions related to mine dewatering and slope depressurization.
Section 7 discusses mine water management including dewatering of the mine, a plan
for dissipation of residual pore pressure, and an evaluation of the future water balance.
Considerations related to permitting and the feasibility study for the proposed Collom
Mine are summarized in Section 8.
References cited in the report are presented in Section 9.
The draft of this report prepared in May 2005 was based on the original mine plan
(Option 1) discussed in Section 1.2. For this final report, we have incorporated a
preliminary evaluation of the dewatering /depressurization issue associated with the
alternative mine plan (Option 2) in Section 7. This baseline data and hydrologic
evaluations described in this report apply to either mining option.
2572 -R2 Colowyo Coal Company
Water Management Consultants
