ame <br />Earth & Environmental <br />Drilling and blasting was performed between stations A9+75 (+/-) and A10+30 (+/-), <br />approximately 30 feet left of centerline to 30 feet right of centerline. Drilling was performed <br />using two track mounted drill rigs. This area was shot Wednesday, 7/22/2009. <br />F) Material Processing <br />1) South Cresson Clay Processing Area <br />Processing of Soil Liner Fill material continued at the South Cresson Clay Processing area. A <br />CAT D-6 dozer, a CAT 320 excavator, and a CAT 966 front-end loader were used to process <br />the material. <br />Location This Week <br />tons Cumulative <br />tons Comments <br />So Cresson Clay Processing 3,590 52,117 <br />Squaw Gulch Processing 0 35,816 Processing in area complete. <br />Total 3,590 87,933 <br />G) Miscellaneous <br />Removal of the existing culverts near station E24+00 (+/-) was performed using a CAT 345 <br />excavator and a CAT 330 track excavator. <br />III) Underground Working <br />A) Drilling <br />No work performed during the week. <br />B) Mine Shaft/Stope Remediation <br />A concrete plug was placed for remediation of Underground Working #3004. The working was <br />scaled prior to concrete placement using a CAT 345 excavator. Ten cubic yards of 4000psi <br />concrete was placed in the working using a CAT 345 excavator. Consolidation was performed <br />using the vibratory method. An AMEC representative monitored concrete placement constantly. <br />One set of three 6" x 12" cylinders were cast for laboratory compressive strength testing. <br />Thirty cubic yards of cemented rock fill was placed in the working using a CAT 345 track <br />excavator. The cemented rock fill was consolidated using the vibratory method. An AMEC <br />representative monitored concrete placement constantly. Remediation of Underground Working <br />#3004 is complete. <br />C) Lateral/Slot Remediation <br />No work performed during the week. <br />IV) Storm Water Management Structures <br />A) Control Structures <br />No work performed during the week. <br />B) Best Management Practices <br />Best Management Practices are being observed throughout the VLF Phase 5 Project. <br />Sheet 3 of 7 <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 07.25.09.D.doc
