Sediment Collection Pond <br />Excess rock from the pond excavation has been stockpiled for future removal and for <br />use in the mine remediation. No work performed during the week. <br />D. Cut to Fill <br />1. VLF <br />Placed structural fill on Tuesday night in the VLF from approximate Stations K6+00 to <br />K9+00 approximately 0 to 75-feet left of centerline. Fill is being hauled from the LOB <br />Delivery Road cut area. Benching each subsequent lift to remove any frozen or <br />unsuitable material was conducted using a Cat D-6 dozer while the fill progresses. All <br />fill placed as per method specification outlined in the Project Specifications. Fill <br />temperature checks were performed during the night shift for project compliance. No <br />additional fill placed during the remaining work week. <br />2. Sediment Collection Pond: <br />No work performed during the week. All oversize rock has been previously stockpiled <br />for future transport to the Joe Dandy stockpile and for future use as mine shaft backfill <br />in the VLF. <br />E. Subgrade Preparation <br />1. VLF <br />No work performed during the week <br />2. Sediment Collection Pond <br />No work performed during the week. <br />F. SLF Processing (Material is being generated/processed for the LOB and the VLF) <br />There was no production of the SLF material located in SGOSA (Squaw Gulch <br />Overburden Storage Area) Dump 5 this past week. A new plant is due to arrive. <br />The material screening plant located at the AGOSA (Arequa Gulch Overburden Storage <br />Area) northwest of Ames maintenance area for processing construction materials started <br />producing "face rock" for the planned MSE walls located in the LOB conveyor alignment. <br />The mine has been transporting clay to the South Cresson clay stockpile during this past <br />week. <br />Sheet 2 of 7 <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 03.28.09.D
