EARTHWORKS <br />A. Clear and Grubbing <br />1. VLF <br />• Ames worked intermittently during the week to continue clearing and grubbing <br />activities along the East Perimeter Access Road. Work extended South to <br />Station 15+80 (+/-) left and right of centerline. Pioneer roads were continued to <br />the South for access. Ames used one to two excavators to consolidate grubbed <br />material for loading. <br />• Ames started removal of trees at the end of the week. Topsoil work at the <br />substation was temporarily stopped at Ames used the Volvo A40D trucks to <br />transport the material to a slash pile located North of Ames maintenance <br />facility. <br />2. Sediment Collection Pond <br />• No Activities. <br />B. Stripping <br />1. VLF <br />• Ames continued to relocate the existing topsoil located near the northwest edge <br />of the Phase 5 VLF. This area is identified by the Contractor as the "substation" <br />area. The topsoil was being hauled to the lower stockpile north of the five point <br />intersection. Work was stopped at the end of the week to use the trucks for <br />hauling of trees from the clearing and grubbing in the northeast area of the VLF <br />along the East perimeter road from Station 15+80 to 22+00. <br />Sheet 1 of 8 <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 02.21.09
