Page 2 <br />4. The seed mixture should consist of blue grama, sideoats grama, little bluestem, <br />switch and western wheat (see attached grass seed job sheet). Grass drilling <br />should occur between November 1 through May 1. Weeds should be controlled <br />mechanically or chemically until grass is established. Grazing should be excluded <br />for two growing seasons from the time of planting from the seeded areas. <br />Fencing maybe needed to achieve this. <br />5. A minimum of 4000 lbs. of (native) grass mulch per acre should be applied to the <br />surface after the grass has been seeded to hold the ground until the grass has <br />established. The mulch should be crimped into the surface (4 inch depth) with a <br />mulch crimper.
