Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> R -Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> R -Processing Waste N -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection of the Williams Fork Mines conducted by Jim Stark of the Colorado Division of <br /> Reclamation, Mining and Safety. Brian Watterson of BTLEC accompanied me on the inspection. The mine is in <br /> temporary cessation d is only performing routine monitoring and maintenance activities. The weather was cool <br /> and overcast and the ground was covered with several inches of snow. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> -All of the records are currently stored at the Foidel Creek Mine in Oak Creek. They are brought to the site for <br /> review in several three ring binders. All of the necessary records were available. Please see the"Availability of <br /> Records"form at the end of this inspection report. <br /> BACKFILL and GRADING—Rule 4.14 Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1; Approximate Original Contour <br /> 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27; Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials <br /> 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br /> -The reclaimed Mine#4 portal area was stable at the time of the inspection. There were no signs of settling or <br /> cracking in the backfill at the time of the inspection. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br /> 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10;Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br /> Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br /> Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> -Ponds 5-P5, 5-P6 and 5-P7 (the ponds that collect the water pumped from the mine workings)were all covered <br /> with snow but appeared to be stable at the time of the inspection. The final pond(5-P7)was discharging at the <br /> time of the inspection. Brain Watterson indicated that the pump in the workings had stopped working and the <br /> pond had just started to discharge again. The discharge appeared to be clear.
