Maintenance: When colonies of Canada thistle have been eradicated or when other weed
infestations have been eradicated especially with the use of RoundUp, reseeding with native plants
and grasses (USFS Alpine seed mix recommended) should be done. Once grasses have become well
established, grazing or mowing should be considered on a rotational basis to keep the grass healthy.
This weed control plan was developed in consultation with the Monte Vista field office of the
Natural Resource Conservation Service (MRCS) , Colorado State Weed Coordinator Steve Ryder,
Colorado State University Extension web site "Weed Management for Small Acreages", and
recommendations from local agricultural chemical distributors.
Very Truly Yours,
r
golf
;ing Partner, EM&L, LLC
Cc: Zeke Ward
