Mining will consist of 5 to 6 cuts. Each cut is-expected to take approximately one year to <br />complete, dependent on market demand. As the next cut is begun, overburden from that <br />cut will be hauled to the previous cut. Therefore, cut reclamation is expected to take one <br />to one and one-half years to complete. <br />(i) An estimate of the periods of time which will be required for the <br />various phases: <br />Each phase in the proposed expansion will take approximately one year. <br />(ii) and (iii) Describe the size and location of each area; outline the sequence <br />of each phase: <br />These two items are addressed above in various sections. <br />(f) Measures that will be taken to revegetate the site: <br />(i) Final grade of slopes: <br />The final grading will attempt to blend the mined area with the surrounding, <br />undisturbed land, Approximate Original Contour (AOC). In any event, final <br />graded slopes will not exceed 3 horizontal to 1 vertical. <br />(ii) Seeding specifications: <br />Please see the approved Bettger Pit Permit. <br />(iii) Soil amendments: <br />Pease see the approved Bettger Pit Permit <br />(iv) Tree and shrubs planting: <br />The area will not receive tree or shrub planting. <br />(v) Topsoil replacement depth: <br />Topsoil will be replaced to an average depth of 8 to 12 inches. <br />E <br />26
