(a) Operator's name.
(b) A statement the reclamation permit for the operation has been
issued by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board.
(c) The permit number issued for the MLRB permit. (M 1976-051)
(2) Affected area boundary markers:
The boundaries of the proposed affected area will be marked with clearly
visible monuments. This is an 112c Regular Operations operation.
Therefore, the permit boundary and the affected area boundary may not
necessarily be the same.
(3) Alternative methods of affected area boundary identification:
At this time the Operator/Applicant plans to mark the affected area
boundary with monuments.
•
This ends the requirements of Section 3.1, Reclamation Performance Standards. The
narrative will resume with the remainder of Section 6.4.5.
Continuation of the Reclamation Plan:
6.4.5(2)(d) Where applicable, plans for topsoil segregation, preservation, and
replacement; for stabilization, compaction, and grading of spoil; and for revegetation.
The revegetation plan shall contain a list of the preferred species of grass, legumes,
forbs, shrubs or trees to be planted, the method and rates of seeding and planting, the
estimated availability of viable seeds in sufficient quantities of the species proposed to
be used, and the proposed time of seeding and planting:
Where applicable, the Operator/Applicant has developed plans for the segregation,
preservation, replacement, compaction, and grading of soil used for revegetation. The
existing Revegetation Plan contains a list of preferred plant species to be planted following
the recommendation of the NRCS Field Office. (Please see Exhibit "J", approved through a
previous 1997 permit amendment for the Bettger Pit.) The selected species for erosion
control and site stabilization should all be readily available commercial materials.
Seedbed preparation was covered in Section 3.1.10(5) of this document. Seeding will occur
during the period recommended by the NRCS to achieve optimum seed establishment.
(e) Reclamation Schedule:
•
The reclamation schedule is described in the previous Sections of this document,
specifically in Sections 3.1.3 and 3.1.5(4).
