The mining operation purpose and associated activities: <br />The 112c Regular Operations Permit Amendment Application is being applied for to <br />expand the existing Bettger Pit. All of the Bettger Pit approved permit conditions and <br />requirements are thereby incorporated in the Bettger Pit Permit Amendment Application <br />upon approval. <br />• 7. The name of the mining operation: <br />The pit name is the Bettger Pit. <br />Type of mining operation and substance to be mined: <br />The mining operation will consist of advancing open cuts, mined in sequence and <br />backfilled with material from the next cut. The substance to be mined is sand and gravel, <br />also known as construction aggregates. <br />8. Site location: <br />The proposed mine site is located 6 miles west of Steamboat Springs, on the north side of <br />US6&40. <br />9. Legal description: <br />The complete legal description is in the existing Bettger Pit 112c Regular Operation <br />Permit file, Exhibit A.
