(3) Project water requirements for mining and reclamation: <br />Water will be needed for dust control, potable water for sanitary needs, and product <br />processing. The potable water will be supplied to the facilities complex from the <br />Operator's office a short distance from the mining operation. Operational water will be <br />supplied from the water treatment pond. <br />(4) Amount of water from each source to meet project water requirements: <br />The estimated annual water need is 1.3 acre feet per year. All project water requirements <br />except for potable water will be supplied from water rights held by HRLP. The primary <br />sources of water will be the water treatment pond in the existing operation. <br />(5) Statement of application for a discharge permit from the Water Quality <br />Control Division, Department of Public Health and the Environment: <br />The Hogue River Pit currently holds an approved discharge permit with the Water <br />Quality Control Division (WQCD), Department of Public Health and Environment. The <br />Operation is in compliance with this permit. In necessary, the discharge permit will be <br />revised as so directed by the WQCD. <br />• <br />• <br />Page 31
