The spill/leak reached water <br />flow on the mine floor and an active stream that runs along the edge of the mine <br />wall inside the mine. <br />ExxonMobil informed Mr. Stasinos that the equipment held 30 gallons of <br />hydraulic fluid and the amount spilled/leaked was yet to be determined. <br />ExxonMobil reported the Mine name (Colony Mine) and the location (by <br />coordinates) and left a contact name and two phone numbers for the agency to <br />contact ExxonMobil. <br />Mr. Stasinos said to expect a call that same afternoon, or the next morning, from <br />the State of Colorado's Water Quality Control District Engineer who covers <br />Garfield County - where the Colony Mine is located. <br />Immediately following the incident, spill pillows were placed on the mine floor and <br />in the mine drainage stream to absorb the hydraulic fluid. Oil sheen was <br />observed near the spill but not downstream of the spill pillows. All visible oil <br />sheen was gone by 11/06/2010.
