0 ameo <br />• Observation of trial seam sample testing and documentation of results; <br />• Observation and documentation of field seaming; <br />• Identification of destructive seam sample test locations, observation of <br />destructive seam sample testing, and documentation of test results; <br />• Observation and documentation of geomembrane repairs; and <br />• Observation and documentation of non-destructive pressure testing of <br />fusion seams and vacuum testing of extrusion seams and repairs. <br />The following sections present a detailed description of each of the above activities. <br />6.2.1 Conformance Testing <br />Geomembrane manufactured by Poly-Flex was installed in the 2010 Phase 5 VLF. A TRI <br />(AMEC subcontractor) representative performed geomembrane conformance sampling at <br />the Poly-Flex plant in Grand Prairie, Texas. Samples were sent to TRI's geosynthetic <br />laboratory in Austin, Texas, for conformance testing. Geomembrane rolls were not used on <br />the project unless approved by AMEC based on conformance test results. <br />Prior to the 40-mil, 80-mil, and 100-mil geomembrane arrival to site, AMEC performed <br />23 conformance tests at a frequency of one test per 118,655 square feet, exceeding the <br />minimum specified testing frequency of one test per 150,000 square feet. Testing frequency <br />was based on AMEC's inventory of the 40-mil, 80-mil, and 100-mil geomembrane. <br />Conformance testing for the 40-mil smooth, 80-mil single-sided textured, 100-mil smooth, <br />100-mil single-sided textured, and 100-mil double-sided textured LLDPE geomembrane <br />used to construct the 2010 Phase 5 VLF liner system met specifications.
