ameo
•
density values. The moisture-density testing frequency was approximately one test per
28,667 cubic yards. There is no testing frequency for moisture density of LVSCF. Nuclear
density tests performed for the LVSCF are summarized in Table 14.
4.2.9 Drain Cover Fill
AMEC provided visual monitoring of DCF placement. One AMEC monitor and at least two
Ames laborers were present monitoring each dozer, unless two dozers were within
approximately 50 feet of each other during DCF placement. AMEC verified that wrinkles in
the geomembrane did not fold over, that PVC grade markers were placed on a maximum
50-foot by 50-foot grid and at grade breaks, and that material in the fill was sutiable. AMEC
continuously inspected geomembrane during DCF placement, marked areas for repair, if
required, and verified that all repairs were completed. After final grading, AMEC monitored
removal of PVC grade markers.
0 4.2.10 Select Drain Cover Fill
AMEC provided visual monitoring of SDCF placement. One AMEC monitor and at least one
Ames representative was present monitoring each piece of equipment as it placed material
around the High Volume Solution Collection risers. AMEC verified a minimum area of 3 feet
was placed around the riser extents, that no damage was caused to the riser piping as
SDCF was placed, and that all material in the fill was suitable. AMEC continuously
inspected riser piping during SDCF placement, marked areas for repair, if required, and
verified that all repairs were completed.
4.2.11 Temperature Monitoring
AMEC monitored ambient air temperatures using a Davis Vantage Pro 2 data-logging
thermometer. Temperatures were measured every hour. The lowest and highest daily
temperatures are summarized in Table 2.

AMEC Earth & Environmental, Inc.
2000 S.
