•
ameO
2.8 2010 OSA Composite Liner System
The 2010 OSA is a primary composite liner as follows:
• The primary composite liner system in the 2010 Phase 5 OSA consists of
a minimum of 12 inches of compacted SLF overlain by a layer of 80-mil
single-sided textured LLDPE geomembrane (textured side down).
• The HVSCS is installed over the primary liner. The HVSCS consists of
HVSCS piping and DCF (minimum of 2 feet).
0
The installation of the primary layer of geomembrane in the 2010 Phase 5 OSA began in
May 2010 and was completed in October 2010. Lone Star installed approximately 190,467
(neat line) square feet of 80-mil smooth LLDPE (texture face down) LLDPE geomembrane.
2.9 PSSA Composite Liner System
The PSSA is a double geomembrane lined system with a secondary composite liner and a
primary geomembrane layer separated by a Low Volume Solution Collection System
(LVSCS), as follows:
• The secondary composite liner system in the PSSA consists of either a
minimum of 12 inches of compacted SLF overlain by a layer of either
100-mil single-sided textured LLDPE geomembrane (textured side down),
or 100-mil double-sided textured LLDPE geomembrane, with the
exception of the Phase Iva and Phase IVb ore slope portion of the PSSA.
The Phase IVa and Phase IVb ore slope portion of the PSSA was graded,
shaped, and compacted to meet project specifications. The graded Phase
IVa ore slope was then overlain with 100-mil smooth LLDPE
geomembrane. Note that the Phase IVa ore slope is underlain by the
Phase IVa liner system.
• The secondary geomembrane liner is covered by a minimum of 3 feet of
LVSCF. The LVSCF is overlain by the primary liner.
• The primary liner system consists (depending on location) of either
100-mil smooth LLDPE geomembrane, 100-mil single-sided textured, or
0
AMEC Earth & Environmental, Inc.
2000 S.
