ameo" <br />2.0 SUMMARY OF EARTHWORK CONSTRUCTION <br />Earthworks activities associated with the 2010 Phase 5 VLF included the following: <br />• Underground workings remediation, including excavation, confirmatory <br />drilling, installation of CSB, FSB, CP, CR, or geogrid; <br />• Primary and Secondary Underdrain construction, including trench <br />excavation; installation of UF, SSF, and geosynthetics; <br />• Site grading, including cut/fill and blasting; <br />• 2010 Phase 5 VLF subgrade preparation; <br />• SLF installation, placement and compaction, depth verification testing, <br />and preparation of SLF surface for geomembrane deployment; <br />• OSA liner system installation <br />• PSSA double liner system installation, consisting of two layers of <br />geomembrane liner separated by LVSCF; <br />• LVSCF placement between geomembrane layers and placement of Low <br />Volume Solution Collection pipes; <br />• Placement of the LVSCR; <br />• SDCF placement in the PSSA around the vertical risers; <br />• DCF placement above the primary geomembrane layer; and <br />• Placement of HVSCS and riser base plates. <br />Ames generally used the following equipment during construction: <br />• Caterpillar D6 Low Ground Pressure (LGP) Dozer; <br />• Caterpillar D7 LGP Dozer; <br />• Caterpillar D8 LGP Dozer; <br />• Caterpillar D9 LGP Dozer; <br />• Caterpillar D9 Dozer; <br />41 • Caterpillar D10 Dozer; <br />AMEC Earth & Environmental, Inc. <br />2000 S.
