This material will be used establish the final grade in the other quarries during final reclamation. <br />Currently the dump area is used to store pallets and product. The dump is approximately 0.8 acres in size. <br />Katri: <br />This site has not been mined for several years. No reclamation has been performed. Approximately 1.25 acres have been <br />disturbed. <br />Staging Area: <br />This area is not currently being utilized; it encompasses approximately 2.1 acres <br />The total disturbance at the Beech Hill Quarries is 22.5 acres. <br />Reve etation: <br />The site contains the following noxious weeds: diffuse knapweed and common mullein. These weeds are listed on the <br />Colorado Noxious Weed List and therefore they must be managed. The presence of noxious weeds on the mine site is <br />considered a problem and will require corrective action by the Operator. The Operator stated the diffuse knapweed has <br />been sprayed for in the past; however, the weed control methods must be approved by the Division and incorporated into <br />the Reclamation Permit through a Technical Revision. The Division recommends the Operator consult with Boulder <br />County Open Space in creating a Weed Control Plan.
