How will the weight of trucks be monitored to meet the federal, state and local weight <br />restrictions? .? -10"00. _ _ <br />b. Seasonal Traffic Limitation. As a condition of approval, the County may limit the <br />number of trucks that may access the mine to avoid damage to roads caused by heavy <br />vehicle use, weather conditions or water saturation. <br />c. Routing. Designation of construction and haul routes within the County for a mining <br />operation shall comply with the following: <br />Timing of Haul Traffic. Timing of truck traffic may be controlled to prevent <br />congestion or adverse noise impacts or safety risks. <br />Describe your proposed traffic plan to include seasonal traffic, the routing plan and timing <br />of haul traffic. <br />Load Control. Applicant shall prevent loss of loads and fugitive dust emissions during transit, <br />and shall be responsible to ensure that haul routes are maintained in accordance with dust- <br />suppressant methods required by applicable state or federal agency. <br />Describe your load control and dust suppressant plan. <br />Emergency Response. A new or expanded mining operation shall provide a written emergency <br />response plan for the potential emergencies that may be associated with the operation of the <br />facilities. <br />Wildfire Hazard. A mining operation shall not cause a significant risk of wildfire hazard. <br />Describe your emergency and wildfire response plan. <br />Special Use-Impact Statement 5
