This area is planned for sagebrush steppe area and will have a topsoil replacement depth of four inches. The Division will check the topsoil replacement on this area during a later inspection (probably in late spring 2011, as ground conditions permit). - Colowyo was actively replacing topsoil in the 2011 East Pit reclamation block at the time of the inspection. The East Pit will have topsoil replaced at a variable depth, with depths of four inches for sagebrush steppe areas up to approximately 18 inches for drainage bottoms. It has been indicated that a portion of the 2011 East Pit reclamation will be reseeded with the sagebrush steppe seed mix. The Division will verify the topsoil replacement depths at a later date, once all of the topsoil has been replaced. This will probably be done in late spring 2011, as ground conditions permit. DOCUMENTS RECEIVED: The Division received a cover letter for the abatement work performed on the West Taylor Pond as a result of Notice of Violation CV-2010-004.
