Correction and Clarification of 112c requirements
for White Sand & Gravel
Exhibit D-Mining Plan
5.) Baca Count Road Dept and County Commissioners has shown interest in opening a road going
through our ranch and the permitted gravel pit area. This road would give the road dept access to roads
south of the river, without going 20-30 miles out of the way. The road south of the permitted acres is a
ranch road, but the owners have interest in improving the roads to make easier access to the ranch land.
This would be for their benefit, and we would get to use it. No improvements will be done for the gravel
pit, south of the permitted area, until we have approval from the DRMS.
6.) Yes, topsoil and overburden stripping will occur with loaders, bulldozers or any other suitable
equipment.
7.) 3-6 inches topsoil will be stripped
8.) 0-4 feet overburden will be stripped
9.) No ground water will be exposed until a well permit has been obtained by us from the Office of the
State Engineer and Div. Reclamation Mining and Safety will be notified.
10.) No non-portable equipment to be used. If in a later date non-portable equipment is needed, the
DRMS will be notified.
11.) No petroleum will be stored on site. If changes are needed, the DRMS will be notified.
12.) No water will be exposed in the silt pit. There are 2 different location of possible silt pit sites. The
site will be determined before mining has started.
