Descriptions of soil <br />mapping units and representative profiles shall include such <br />necessary information as determined by the U.S.D.A. <br />Natural Resources Conservation Service, including, but not <br />limited to, depth, pH, and range of density of soil <br />horizons, determined in accordance with National <br />Cooperative Soil Survey Standards as established under <br />Rule 2.06.6(2)(a), for each prime farmland soil to be <br />disturbed by mining. Soil profile descriptions of <br />representative profiles from the locality may be used to <br />• comply with the requirements of this section if the use of <br />such descriptions is approved by the U.S.D.A. Natural <br />Resources Conservation Service. The Division may <br />l request the operator to provide information on other <br />physical and chemical soil properties as needed to make a <br />determination that the operator has the technological <br />capability to restore the prime farmland within the permit <br />area to the soil reconstruction standards of Rule 4.25. <br />(b) The proposed method and type of equipment to be used for re- <br />moval, storage, and replacement of the soil in accordance with <br />4.25. <br />(c) The location of areas to be used for the separate stockpiling of the <br />soil and plans for soil stabilization before redistribution. <br />(d) If applicable, documentation, such as agricultural school studies or <br />other scientific data from comparable areas, that supports the use <br />of other suitable material, instead of the A, B, or C soil horizons, <br />to obtain on the restored area equivalent or higher levels of yield <br />as non -mined prime farmlands in the surrounding area under <br />equivalent levels of management. <br />is <br />
