May Day and Idaho Mine Complex 112 (d) Permit Application
Phase 5 - Production Expansion may extend beyond the proposed time period in which case appropriate
permit extensions will be applied for by Wildcat. All above ground expansion activities will be reclaimed
upon abandonment of each expansion area as appropriate. Reclamation closure activities will commence
at the end of the life-of-mine. Grading, seeding, and planting activities will commence as soon after ab-
andonment or closure as season and weather permits (i.e., snow and frost free periods).
Table E-1. Surface disturbances are limited to the operational areas (depicted on Figure C-4 in Exhibit Q.
These individual operational areas are restricted to less than 1.0 acre, and are anticipated to be life of mine
and therefore will be reclaimed during final closure. Locations of the facilities and structures detailed
below are identified and located in Figure C-4.
Phase I - Preliminary Construction and Reclamation Activities
• Access Road Construction
Primary access road in permit area is immediately off of County Road 124. This road base area is
approximately 50 feet wide along a 1,900 foot length (1.8 acres). Road reclamation closure activ-
ities are identified below. The road construction work plan is summarized in Attachment 6.5-3
• Grading of Existing Access Roads
Pre-existing access roads within the 50 foot corridor will be graded and reseeded. The 50 foot
wide corridor is approximately 8,300 feet in length (9.5 acres). These roads are permanent and
will not be reclaimed.
• May Day No. 2 Bench - Run of Mine Rock Storage
This bench area is approximately 0.5 acre and is within the May Day No. 2 Operational Area.
The rock storage site will be designed and reclaimed in accordance with the criteria presented in
Exhibit 6.5
• Installation of Stormwater Best Management Practice Structures
Stormwater control structures will be installed as outlined in Exhibit T
• Repair of May Day No. 1 does not require interim reclamation.
May Day Idaho Mine Complex 112(d) Permit Application
September 21, 2010 (REVISED Oct. 22, 2010)
18
