Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br />N - Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br />N - Processing Waste N - Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />This was a partial inspection conducted by Kent Gorham of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and <br />Safety. Ryan Pawlowski represented the operator during the inspection. Colowyo is a large, multi-seam surface <br />mining operation that produces in excess of 2 million tons of coal each year. The weather on this day was clear <br />with patchy fog in the morning hours. Ground conditions were excellent. <br />Backfilling and Grading <br />The operator is currently regrading the 2010 area in the East Pit as shown on Map 29 Spoil Grading. Two D-11 <br />dozers were pushing spoil to the final approved post-mining topography aided by GPS technology. They were <br />also cutting the channel of the North Tributary of the East Pit.
