October 6, 20 10 C-1981-035/King Coal Mine TAK <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS - Rule 4.02: <br />King I - The mine i.d. sign was properly displayed at the mine entrance from County Road 120. Additional <br />affected area ("Permit Area') markers were needed around the surface facilities area. A topsoil marker was <br />needed on the stockpile of "plant growth medium" in the drainage immediately above the refuse pile. The <br />operator was installing these needed markers on the second day of the inspection. <br />King H - A mine W. sign was on display at the mine's entrance on County Road 120. The surface disturbed area <br />is well-marked with "Permit Area" markers, although additional markers were needed to delineate the approved <br />surface disturbed area on the ridge north of the portal bench.
