GCC <br />Rio Grande <br />April 23, 2002 <br />Colorado State Land Board <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 620 <br />Denver, Colorado 80202 <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br />GCC Rio Grande, Inc., has filed an application with the Colorado Division of Minerals <br />and Geology to obtain a "112 Construction Materials Reclamation Permit." As the applicant, <br />GCC Rio Grande is required by law to notify you of this application filing because county <br />records show that you have a recorded interest within 200 feet of the boundary of the affected <br />land in the application. You are welcome to review the application in detail at the Pueblo <br />County Clerk's Office. Included below is the notice that was published in the Pueblo Chieftain <br />today and will be published once a week for the next four weeks. <br />Public Notice <br />GCC Rio Grande, Inc., 11783 State Highway 337, Tijeras, New Mexico, 87059, has filed <br />with the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, an application to obtain a "112 <br />Construction Materials Reclamation Permit" for the Red Rock Plant & Limestone Mine <br />located approximately 6 miles south of the City of Pueblo, in Pueblo County. The <br />location of the proposed Red Rock Plant & Limestone Mine is Townships 13, 23, 24, and <br />25 of Township 22 South, Range 65 West and Townships 18, 19, and 30 of Township 22 <br />South, Range 64 West. The Red Rock Plant & Limestone Mine is proposed to <br />commence operation in late fall of 2002. The permit application requests a 50 year life of <br />the project. The proposed future use of the land is rangeland purposes. A copy of the <br />application is available for public inspection at the Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder's <br />Office, 215 west 10`h St., Pueblo, Colorado, 81002. All comments on the application <br />must be submitted to the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman St., <br />Room 215, Denver, Colorado, 80203, by May 2, 2002. <br />GCC Rio Grande looks forward to a long and prosperous relationship with the Pueblo <br />community and also as your new neighbor. <br />Sincerely, <br />Brian D.
