CHAMCO INDUSTRIES Project 2004-037
RL ION Barge for
"K9 xa""°'"` HENDERSON MILL October 26, 2005
TRIM & STABILITY REPORT
SAFETY:
Operators should assume that stability deteriorates rapidly after the deck edge submerges and
should observe the normal safety precaution of limiting loss of Freeboard, due to any occurrence,
to 500/6 of the Initial Freeboard
The dry tanks located within the pontoons between the ballast tanks should be maintained
completely dry at all times as the presence of slack liquid is always detrimental to stability. All
liquids spilled within, or- entering, the house must be allowed free drainage into the sump: it is
important that no water be permitted to accumulate within the house as this would have both a
negative effect on stability and could introduce a heeling moment.
CONCLUSION:
It is the opinion of the undersigned that this Pump Barge is entirely adequate for the service
intended.
This report was commissioned by Chamco Industries Ltd.. and submitted by MerLion Marine
Services Inc..
"4?-
W.
