3. For the species diversit "Alternative Test B—Total Species Densit Test', it is our
understandin that the "mean reference area species densit and "standard deviation IT
parameters emplo would need to be defined as liarea wei mean reference area
species densit and "area wei reference area species densit standard deviation
when emplo in situations where a reclaimed block is bein compared to a wei
avera standard derived from multiple reference area communit t as would be
the case for reclaimed area shrub g rassland and mesic draina bond release blocks).
If this is the case, please revise the wordin to confirm. If our understandin is
not what was intended, please provide additional explanation to clarif and justif
4. Similar to Item 3, our understandin of "Alternative Test D—Assessment of the
Presence of Native Species", is that the cumulative number of native species in the data
set for a reclaimed area bond release block would be compared to the area wei
reference area species densit in the case of reclaimed shrub g rassland or mesic
draina bond release blocks). In other words, the total number of native species in a
statisticall ade sample of the bond release block would need to e or exceed
the wei avera n of native species per 10 0 s meters in the extended
reference area, based on a statisticall ade sample of each component ve
t within the extended reference area. If this is the case, please revise the wordin
to confirm. If our understandin is not what was intended, please provide
additional explanation to clarif and justify.
