PAGE 2
Permit #: M-1977-129
Operation Name: WHITEWATER 500 PIT
Anniversary Date: 09122/010
- PART B and placed the topsoil along the north side of the
excavated area. This berm serves two purposes, as a topsoil
pile and an MSHA safety berm. The 6.00 acre raw material
storage area in the northwest part of Stage 6 is still being
used. The main processing plant is locate on the Industrial
Site at 1360 Coffman Road. The stripped area in Stage 3 -
PART B now covers 12.40 acres (yellow) and the overburden
stockpiled area east of the stripped area is still in use
(brown). This material will be used to reclaim the slopes
and resoil the above water area as reclamation progresses in
this stage.
(2) See Sheet 1 of 2. Final grading and sloping was completed in
the west arm of Stage 2 - PART A (2.79 ac.) and in Phase F
(1.50 ac) (diamond hatched). Approximately 2.80 acres was
backfilled in the northwest part of Stage 2 - PART A. The
Cattle Feeding Area in Phases A thru F was graded this year
completing reclamation on that area (purple). Revegetation
is complete on the south slopes of Phases A thru C. A
900-foot section of perimeter road was constructed for the
landowners on the north side of the west arm. The two
landowner building sites remain unchanged from last year
(brown) . The above water areas in Stage 2 - PART A and
around the backfill area were seeded in November 2009 after
the water level stabilized (green). Backfilling was com-
pleted in two areas south of the river (dark blue). The
seeding around Stage 2 - PART B is growing and will complete
it's 2 growing seasons in November 2010.
See Map Sheet 2 of 2. Sloping was completed around the
freshwater pond/settling pond in Stage 3 - PART A as it was
constructed in 2008. Sloping was completed on 1.70 acres
along the south side of Stage 3 - PART B. The topsoil/MSHA
safety berm was seeded this spring to protect if from ero-
sion. No additional reclamation is required on areas north
of the river.
We estimate there is approximately
den stored in Stage 6 (not on map)
stored in Stage 3 - PART B (brown) .
constant state of flux with materi;
as needed. The settling ponds are
process water (dark blue).
48,000 yards of overbur-
and another 39,000 yards
These piles are in a
a1 being added and removed
still being used to clean
Weed control continued this year in the areas around Phase
2- PARTS A & B and Stage 3 - PART A. We sprayed Knapweed and
White Top from May thru the end of the growing season in
2010 with water soluble 2-4-D
