SECTION 2.06.6 <br />PRIME FARMLANDS <br />1. Introduction <br />In February 2008, the NRCS ruled that soils 98A and 98E could be considered prime farmland soils <br />if adequate water was available for irrigation. Since these soils were in the process of being <br />stripped on the Morgan property at that time, it was decided that an immediate change in the soil <br />handling procedures was needed to address these soils. This was done and after technical <br />adequacy, TR -57 was approved in 2009 to address these soil handling issues. <br />Since all prime farmland issues have been addressed in other sections of the permit, this Section <br />2.06.6 will address all prime farmland requirements by demonstrating where in the permit each of <br />those issues are located. <br />2. Prime Farmland Requirements <br />Table 2.06.6 -1 below demonstrates where all Rule 2.06.6 requirements are addressed. <br />(Revised PR 06) 2.06.6 -1 <br />
