A check for $2,500 is enclosed to cover the required permit fee. I am <br />submitting three volumes of the permit application documents with this application. A set <br />of these documents is separately being mailed each to DRMS' offices in Grand Junction <br />and Durango as well as to the Montrose County Court House Annex in Nucla. <br />The permit application documents were developed after WFC personnel held several <br />pre-application meetings with DRMS personnel and completed collection of base line <br />data on surface water, underground water well , soil resources, vegetation and <br />wetlands. Kent Crofts of IME from Yampa, Colorado was retained to collect and/or <br />develop baseline information for the following sections: <br />Section 2.04.3 Site Description and Land Use <br />Section 2.04.4 Cultural Resources. <br />Section 2.04.9 Soils Resource Information <br />Section 2.04.10 Vegetation Information <br />Section 2.04.11 Fish and Wildlife Resource Information <br />Section 2.04.12 Prime Farmland Investigation <br />Section 2.06.8 Alluvial Valley Floor Investigation <br />Mr. Crofts also wrote post-mining reclamation plans related to the following sections: <br />Section 2.05.4(2)(d) Topsoil Redistribution <br />Section 2.05.4(2)(e) Revegetation <br />Section 2.05.5 Postmining Land Uses <br />Section 2.05.6(2) Fish and Wildlife Plan <br />1 <br />PO Box 33424 • Denver, CO 80233-3424 ¦ Telephone 303/254-3070 • Fax 303/254-3079 • 1100 West 116th Avenue • Westminster, CO 80234
