This approach means
that we won't be using EPA's multi-sector permit for now. However, when the Division's general
permits expire (Light Industry - 6/96, Mining - 9/96, Heavy Industry - 12/96), we will look at writing
more industry-specific permits during the renewal process, depending on the need.
Although you are considered to have already applied, we still need some updated information from you.
Please fill out the enclosed supplemental application, and return it to our office by July 13, 1995.
Note that you will need to have prepared a Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) before you submit
the supplemental information. We have enclosed a guidance document on SWMP preparation for your
use. You may also wish to contact your trade association for further assistance.
It is possible that you are already covered under a permit, or that some other change has affected your
permit status. In that case, you still need to contact us. Please understand that the data for the group
applicants is at least 3 years old, and may no longer be accurate. Also, not all of the information was
available to allow us to do a complete cross-check with our files. We apologize for any inconvenience.
If you have any questions, please give our office a call at (303) 692-3590.
Sincerely,
Daniel Beley
Environmental Protection Specialist
Permits and Enforcement Section
WATER QUALITY CONTROL DIVISION
