Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br />NA - Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br />R - Processing Waste R -Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />AIR RESOURCE PROTECTION - Rule 4.17: <br />There were no signs of coal fines being tracked onto the main highway at the main entrance to the mine. <br />Also, there were no fugitive dust problems at the coal stockpiles, coal waste piles or other disturbed areas of the <br />mine site. Very little coal was being stockpiled at the D-seam portal bench stockpile area and at the coal stockpile <br />bench adjacent to the highway. Finally, there were no fugitive dust problems at the unit train loadout. There were <br />no Bowie railcars on site. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS - Rule 5.02.4(1): <br />The required mine records were located at the mine office, as documented on the attached records <br />checklist. <br />BACKFILL and GRADING - Rule 4.140 ?Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1; Approximate Original <br />Contour 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27; Handling of Acid and Toxic <br />Materials 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br />The cut and fill slopes of the various mine site benches appeared to be stable. Highwalls were stable and <br />bench outslopes showed no signs of slumping or bulging. The railroad spur line bench also appeared to be stable. <br />EXPLOSIVES - Rule 4.080 []Distance Prohibitions 4.08.4; Warnings 4.08.4; Control of Adverse Effects 4.08.4: <br />The locks were on the cap and powder houses, which are located along the road from the D-seam portal <br />bench up to the east side material storage bench. No problems with explosives were noted. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.050 ?Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br />Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage - Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br />Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />In attempting to clean out pond B, an excavator got stuck in the pond.
