<br />amec'? <br />VLF EARTHWORKS FIELD MONITORING SUMMARY (WEEKLY REPORT) <br />Project Title: CC&V/ Phase 5 <br />Owner: Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Co. <br />Location: Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine <br />Work Element: Phase 5 CQA/ VLF <br />Project No.: 84201125EO <br />Contractor: Ames Construction Co., Inc. <br />Shift: Day/Night <br />Date: August 21, 2010 <br />Reporting Period: 8/15/10 through 8/21/10 <br />Days S M T W T F S <br />Work Shifts D D D D D D D <br /> <br />D = Day Shift N = Night Shift <br />Ambient Temperature Range (F): Low: 47°F to 55°F (+/-) High: 74°F to 82°F (+/-) <br />AMEC CQA: Personnel On-site through the Reporting Period (See Attachment A). <br />AMES: No issues. <br />CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES and PROGRESS: <br />II) EARTHWORKS <br />A) Subgrade Preparation <br />1) VLF <br />Subgrade was inspected and re-approved for soil liner fill placement by an AMEC field <br />representative in the area shown on Figure 1. <br />B) Slope Contouring <br />1) VLF <br />Slope contouring performed between stations E0+50 (+/-) and E22+00 (+/-), approximately 0 <br />to 100 feet right of centerline and between stations G22+00 (+/-) and G29+50 (+/-), <br />approximately 0 to 200 feet left of centerline. Slope contouring was performed using various <br />CAT dozers, various CAT excavators and a CAT skid steer. Wet material was pushed up slope <br />and spread out to dry. A CAT smooth drum roller was used to compact finished slopes. <br />C) Cut to Fill <br />1) VLF <br />A John Deere 200 excavator was used to excavate material from between stations A54+00 (+/- <br />) and A56+00 (+/-). The material was loaded into 40 ton articulating haul trucks and used to <br />assist with slope contouring between stations E18+00 (+/-) and E22+00 (+/-), approximately 0 <br />to 75 feet right of centerline. <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 08.21.10.D.docx
