Apparent rain storms had occurred <br />recently on the mine site, as evidenced by sediment transport on the permanent roadways. The permanent <br />drainages appeared functional, and no sign of new erosional features or enlarged rills was observed. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE: <br />The permit is currently under review for final bond release, SL 11. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />Vegetation throughout the reclaimed mine site looks good. SL11 remains under review. The operator <br />indicated that follow up vegetation sampling was being conducted in early August. The Division has not yet <br />received results of the sampling. <br />REVEGETATION - Rule 4.15 ? ? Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />Occasional weed patches were observed during this inspection. Patches of Perennial pepperweed do not <br />appear affected by weed control measures. some patches of Canada thistle are still visible and seed heads have <br />matured and are blowing around. <br />A small patch of Spotted knapweed (Centaurea maculosa) was observed on the South road just above the gate. <br />This species is a B list noxious weed and requires management.
