This is a reclaimed mine with no mine <br />personnel on site. The site was dry with clear skies and warm temperatures. Neither gate was locked. The North <br />gate has been missing the Chevron lock since this past spring. The gate was closed, but not locked. At the South <br />gate, one of the combination locks hasp has been broken. The gate was closed but not locked. No damage from <br />unauthorized access to the site was observed during the inspection. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS - Rule 5.02.4(1): <br />Public records are stored in the Routt County Clerk and Recorders Office at the Routt County Courthouse <br />in Steamboat Springs. Records need to be updated regularly. Records that need to be filed in the courthouse <br />include: <br />1) Current insurance certificate. <br />2) Second quarter 2010 pond inspection reports <br />3) Second quarter 2010 DMRs <br />DMRs, quarterly sediment pond inspections, and insurance certificates are being sent to the Division offices in <br />Denver, but they must also be maintained with the public record. The inspector checked with the clerk and <br />recorder to verify that all communications had been placed with the Edna mine records. Staff checked in the <br />recently received file or mail, and found no additional records for the Edna Mine permit. Please assure public files <br />remains up to date. <br />FISH and WILDLIFE - Rule 4.18: <br />Wildlife was observed throughout the mine site. 3 mule deer bucks were traversing across the Moffat area <br />reclamation, 3 mule deer does in the West Ridge area, mallard ducks were utilizing both the Moffat pond and <br />Center Ridge pond.
