Compliance With Mine Plan R - Support Facilities Not On-site <br />R - Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br />R - Processing Waste Y -Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />This was a complete inspection of the Munger Canyon Mine conducted by Mike Boulay of the DRMS Grand <br />Junction Field Office on August 19, 2010. No operator/representative from Munger Canyon Mine was present <br />during the inspection; however, I did speak with April Schultz HR/Administrative Assistant at the McClane <br />Canyon Mine office prior to the inspection. Weather conditions were cloudy with light rain. Ground conditions <br />were wet from recent heavy rainfall prior to this inspection. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS - Rule 5.02.4(1): <br />The availability of records was checked at the Munger Mine office on the morning of August 19, 2010. All <br />required records were on file and available for review during this complete inspection and no problems were <br />identified with the records review. Please see the DRMS Availability of Records checklist at the end of this <br />inspection report. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />EDrainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, <br />4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring <br />4.05.13; Drainage - Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />East Salt Creek was flowing with turbid water. Munger Creek had no flowing water and was only damp in a few <br />locations. The culvert at the Munger Creek road crossing was clear and well maintained (see attached Photograph <br />No. 1). Ditches and culverts associated with the reclaimed waste disposal site, the cover soil stockpile, and the <br />topsoil stockpile locations were in good condition and well maintained. The waste disposal area sediment pond <br />was not retaining water (see Photograph No. 2). The inlet and discharge structures were stable and no problems <br />were noted.
