August 18, 2010 C-1981-041/Roadside Portals MPB
SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04:
Much of the construction work for the Cameo Sand Offloading Facility is completed. Halliburton's contractor
FCI was pouring the surface of the new bridge that crosses the lower end of Coal Creek. They were also painting
the sand storage silos with a secondary color to aid in screening the tall silos. The UTL 1 and 2 reclaimed pond
locations looked very stable. The only problem noted at the UTL was that the large silt fence that protects the
wetland area located southwest of the former UTL land 2 Ponds has been damaged by the significant rainstorm
that occurred in the area prior to this inspection. The silt fence appears to have functioned properly by retaining
sediment from entering the wetland area but has been damaged from the recent storm as shown in attached
Photograph No's 5 and 6. Please repair and replace as needed all damaged silt fence structures in the UTL loop
area prior to the SL-7 bond release scheduled for September 23, 2010.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1
Page 4 of 9
