August 18, 2010 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine RDZ <br />discharge points. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE: <br />The mine was found to be in general compliance with the permit. <br />ROADS - Rule 4.03 ? 0 Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) 0 ? Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) ? ? Surfacing and <br />Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6)? []Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />All observed roads and roadside ditches were functioning as permitted at the time of the inspection with <br />the following exceptions: <br />• Along the D/E road roadside ditches require grading and the inlet to culvert D9 requires additional <br />construction. The excavation has been enlarged and the banks flattened, but no armoring has been added. Part of <br />the culvert has been removed and needs to be replaced. <br />The culvert in the Grouse drainage still requires cleaning. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />A large gully in the reclaimed area above the pond in Oak Gulch drainage was under repair at the time of <br />the inspection. A loader and a track hoe were placing rock and dirt into the gully. It is anticipated that this <br />problem will re-occur and will require periodic maintenance. <br />Rills have formed in block F-AB-07. <br />Block F-AB-08 contains a large amount of cheatgrass. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS - Rule 4.02: <br />Two markers on the west boundary require replacement or repair. <br />TOPSOIL - Rule 4.060 ORemoval 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; <br />Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />Scrapers were moving topsoil from pile K 1-08 and placing it between the first and second benches of the <br />Horse Gulch Fill. <br />Four topsoil piles were inspected: F1-09, F2-07, H93-2, and MP7. The following issues were identified and <br />require maintenance: <br />• Additional markers are needed for H93-2, F1-09, and F2-07. <br />• F1-09 lacks vegetation on the west side. <br />• Slopes on F1-09 and 172-07 are steeper than 3H: IV, the design slope. <br />Two topsoil piles that are on TMI's topsoil pile inventory have been completely (or almost completely) been used: <br />172-06 and F3-07.
