Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br />NA - Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br />R - Processing Waste R -Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />AIR RESOURCE PROTECTION - Rule 4.17: <br />There was only a small volume of coal that was stockpiled on the D-seam portal bench and on the coal <br />stockpile bench next to the highway. There were no problems with fugitive dust. Also, no coal fines were seen on <br />the highway at the mine entrance. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 ? ?Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br />Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage - Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br />Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />The operator needs to reattach the float onto the primary discharge hose at pond B. The water level in <br />pond B was below the level of the primary discharge pipe but the pond needs to be dewatered a little more in order <br />to repair the float. There was water in Pond C and a little in pond D but water levels were below discharge levels. <br />There was water in pond F but well below discharge. The primary discharge pump was in place at pond F. Ditches <br />and culverts that feed into the sediment ponds had sufficient capacity. The ditches in the area of Pond D had <br />recently been cleaned out. At the unit train loadout, pond J was dry and a little ponded water was in pond K. Pond <br />embankments and inslopes were stable. <br />The Hubbard Creek fan site held up well under recent rains. The roughened grading, waddles and straw bales were <br />working well. The facilities outside edge berm was in place and the upland diversion ditch had enough capacity. <br />PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES - Rule 4.10 and 4.110 ?Drainage Control; Surface <br />Stabilization; Placement: <br />Due to recent rains, the work on the coal waste stockpile had to be suspended for a couple of days but <br />work has resumed.
