2.4 Drain Cover Fill
Ames began placing DCF in the Phase 413/4C Triangle area May 14 and completed placement
on May 15, 2010. Ames placed approximately 550 cubic yards of DCF. The DCF was placed in
a minimum 2-foot thick lift over the geomembrane. During fill placement, PVC grade markers
were placed at grade breaks. After DCF placement, Ames performed any additional grading
required. Ames placed DCF in an uphill direction on any slopes steeper than 4HAV. The DCF
layout is shown in Figure 6.
