2 General Information
Using inert fill materials to fill the Site will modify the current grading and conditions of
the Site to allow for potential future agricultural, commercial, or residential uses on the
property in the future. The Site contours prior to re-contouring are shown on the map in
Appendix I show that the Site is currently approximately 50 feet below the surrounding
ground elevations to the north along E-470 and to the east along Brighton Road. Using
the inert fill materials will bring the Site to grade with Brighton Road and allow future
use of the Site for agricultural, commercial, or residential uses.
The benefits for the specific inert fill materials are:
• Creating usable property for agricultural, residential or commercial uses.
• Increasing the visual attractiveness for the South Platte River corridor and I-470.
• Providing private entities with inert fill alternatives.
• Revenue to Adams County, and the State in taxes from potential commercial
establishments that could be located on the site after filling.
• Increased employment opportunities created by the development of the inert
filling operations.
• Save water resources but decreasing and eliminating surface water evaporative
losses.
AFS will comply with all the requirements, written in laws and regulations in the
Regulations Pertaining to Solid Waste Sites and Facilities (the "Regulations"). The rules
and regulations for the State of Colorado that apply to the operation of the recycling
registration for inert filling operations and the rules and regulations, and local ordinances
will be followed.
The inert fill Site has convenient access to State Highway 85 and the intersection of 136th
Avenue.
2.1 Responsible Party Contacts
The owners of the Site are Frei Family entities with the largest Frei entity property owner
being:
Henderson Aggregate, Ltd.
c/o Ben Frei
Albert Frei and Sons, Inc*
P.O.
