6 (Form 2- Public)
3. Describe the estimated topsoil depth and how topsoil will be salvaged, stockpiled and redistributed for the re-establishment of
vegetation. Specify approximate topsoil redistribution depth:
Estimated topsoil depth is based on a representative typical profile of about 6" to 11" surface layer of dark gray, gravelly, sandy loam
The substratum depth may extend to 60" in areas. The track-loader will initially cut the upslope upper stratum and place it in the
the downslope material will be re-excavated and placed back in its approximate original upslope location, with the
original/nominal 6" to 11" of topsoil at the surface). The material will be consolidated by the track dozer to establish a final backfill zone
ready for seedbed preparation and application. In the event there is a topsoil deficiency, AGC will consult with DRMS (and only with
DRnne authorization/approval) wherein AGC may elect to utilize material in non-dedicated topsoil stockpiles located elsewhere on the
associated permit area(s) and/or consider import of certified weed free topsoil volumes from offsite sources.
4. Describe how drill holes will be plugged (refer to Rule 5.4 of the Rules for required abandonment procedures):
Immediately following completion of the respective borehole, but subsequent to collecting all
desired drillhole information, drill holes will be abandoned in accordance with Rule 5.4 of the Hard
"permanent RuckiMetal Mining Rules and Regulations. it its anticipated that all hales will be subject to Mule
be converted to monitoring or ground water wells. Describe how portals, adits, shafts, ponds, excavations, or other disturbances will be reclaimed (refer to Rule 3 and Rule 5 for
specific reclamation performance standards). You may wish to contact the Division for closure specifications.
No specific structures/features will be established other than the drill pads. Water within mud pits will
be allowed to evaporate. If mud pits are established on "cut" zones, cuttings will be placed in the pit
gnread//plarpd at a depth not to exceed 1 /2 inch over the tip-slope (cut zone) portion of the pad
surface, to be subsequently covered by fill placement. Reconstruction of approximate original
contours will incorporate selective soils placement to ensure an adequate topsoil Horizon for
Fevegetation. Describe how roads will be reclaimed or returned to their pre-prospecting (or better) condition:
Existing two-track roads on private surface and BLM surface will be utilized and as such roads will
remain intact upon completion of the exploration program. To the extent vehicular traffic might induce
rutting, ponding, scil creep, ete. AGC will conduct a post-prograrn patrol on the roads to ensure any
damaged or adversely impacted areas are returned to conditions equivalent to or better than
pre-program conditions (i.e., bladed and/or filled/compacted). The new 150-ft. roadway segment will be
record of prP-pmgram and post-program renditions of the access roadway(s), particularly those
segments that may susceptible to impact (low points, non-consolidated or soft soils, etc.).
