Some inaccuracies on the forms were detected
by the Division during the June inspection. However, these issues have been rectified by TMI staff, and the forms
are now in compliance.
It appears that blasting in the K Ridge Pit may be occurring within one-half mile of the Tri State power line that
lies near the east permit boundary. TMI should verify this, and, if so, determine how it may need to comply with
Rule 4.08.4(4).
In the future, it will be necessary to ensure that the diesel tank farm at the East Panel Ready Line is at least 500
feet from any blasting activity. Alternatively, TMI may obtain an approval from the Division for an exception
(Rule 4.08.4(7)(b)).
FISH and WILDLIFE - Rule 4.18:
A Golden Eagle was observed on the west side of the mine site along the B/C road.
